Duff enjoying life under Stan
Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff hailed the impact of Steve Staunton
after Ireland's 3-0 win over Sweden on Wednesday night.
Duff put in a superb display to inspire the victory but he saved praise for
the new boys in the Ireland team:"I thought they (the debutants) did great and
I'm looking forward to working with them again.
"I've known for a while we're not going to the World Cup - we didn't do the
business in the group stages, but roll on September.
(我知道我們不用去德國，我們在小組賽表現不好。)
"The most important thing tonight was to send the fans home happy. The last
few times they have been here we haven't put on a show for them.
(今天最主要是讓球迷開開心心，之前幾場比賽我們都沒有好好表現。)
"It's been good (working with Steven Staunton) and it think it showed on the
pitch tonight.
"I've had a hard douple of months, I've had nearly every injury under the sun.
But I'm pain free now and fit so there is nithing more that I can ask for."
