Chelsea Football Club has the following statement on the plans to pay
tribute to Peter Osgood.
"Chelsea Football Club, with the agreement of West Bromwich Albion,
will hold a minute's silence in memory of Peter Osgood before tomorrow's
match at The Hawthorns. For our next match at Stamford Bridge on March 11
against Tottenham, Chelsea will hold a minute's appreciation of Peter
Osgood to celebrate his life and career. Further details will follow
regarding other activities planned for the Tottenham match."

The collection of tributes to Peter Osgood laid at Stamford Bridge
continues to grow. A white-painted wall on the left-hand side of the main
entrance way into the ground was set aside as a tribute area soon after
the announcement of the legend's untimely death on Wednesday afternoon.
Ever since, a steady stream of supporters and admirers has been
arriving and placing flowers, scarves, shirts, flags, poetry and pictures.
A large framed photo of Peter's famous Cup Final replay header is among
the items left. One fan carried out a vigil by the wall beyond midnight
and into a cold Thursday morning.
A book of condolence is available close by the wall for anyone
wishing to commit thoughts or memories to paper. An online version can be
accessed via this website with contributions already well beyond the 1,000
mark.
At Chelsea's training HQ in Cobham, a tall flagpole adjacent to the
building entrance continues to fly the club's flag at half-mast in a mark
of respect.
