Essien: We still have confidence for the Cup

Michael Essien has backed his team-mates to clear the disappointment
against Fulham out of their minds and approach the FA Cup quarter-final
against Newcastle with renewed vigour.
野牛要大家忘記敗仗，好好應付足總盃。
“We lost last Sunday but it is gone now,” he insists. “We have to
think about what is coming. Football is full of surprises, you win some,
you lose some. We still have confidence we can do something. We don't lose
a lot of matches. But when it happens you can't do anything. When the game
is finished, you have to move on.
輸了就輸了，過它過去吧，我們還是充滿信心。
“Every game for us is very difficult,” he said, knowing that all of
English football is fired up to the maximum when playing Chelsea. “That
is football, you can't have things easy. You have to fight for everything.
Newcastle will know our qualities and when we face them they are going to
give us a tough game.”
這就是足球，沒有什麼容易的事，喜鵲肯定拼命打，我們要努力奮戰。

“We will miss William a lot,” admits Essien. “He is one of our key
players but we have players to replace him. We are leading the Premiership
at the moment but it is nowhere near finished. We must finish that but
tomorrow is the FA Cup so we are looking forward to it.”

This first season taking part in the world's most famous domestic cup
tournament is a mouth-watering prospect for a player who as youngster in
Ghana, was brought up watching English televised football above all other.

“Chelsea have won the cup three times before,” he said. “It is
special for the club and I hope we can win it for a fourth time. It is
very important for the fans and if we can win it, we will win it for
them.”
