Lampard said: "We have only been together for two weeks and that is not long.
We have got a few new players and are still working on things.
"Our main aim is to be as close to optimum next week but our goal against
Liverpool showed what we can do when we get it right and I think there will
be more of that to come.
"I am trying to link with Andriy Shevchenko, who is a fantastic player. It is
not difficult and there were glimpses of that happening in Cardiff.
"We hope he will be the 20-plus goals a season striker that most teams want.
He looked good against Liverpool and will improve, as we all will."
