Chelsea hands half-a-million to CLIC Sargent

Michael Ballack, on behalf of Chelsea Football Club, presented a cheque on
the pitch on Sunday to Chelsea's official charity partner CLIC Sargent.

The cheque was the money raised during the first 12 months of fundraising
by Chelsea FC in a two-year partnership with the charity. The amount was
￡573,000. The funds will go towards helping children with cancer as well
as raising awareness of the work CLIC Sargent undertakes.
這張支票是切爾西俱樂部在這次為期兩年的慈善合作中的頭一個十二月所捐出的款項
，總數為537000英鎊。這筆基金將用於幫助得了癌症的兒童，也希望能幫助人們認識

A large portion of the money was raised at Chelsea's celebration Centenary
events last season through charity auctions. The most successful function
was The Legends dinner at Old Billingsgate Market, where auction items
such as a photo opportunity with the team, a meal cooked by Gordon Ramsay
and a behind the scenes day at TV programme Top Gear raised ￡110,250.
這筆錢中的主要部分來自於賽季切爾西百年慶祝活動中的慈善拍賣。這次活動當中最
成功的部分是在 Old Billingsgate 市場舉行的傳奇晚餐，這次拍賣的內容包括與球

Two of the most famous money raisers were the auctioning of Jose
Mourinho's Armani coat, famously worn throughout the 2004/5 season (the
coat raised a staggering ￡22,000) and the novelty pop record released
earlier this year, Jose and his Amazing Technicolor Overcoat.
兩樣最有名的拍賣品為穆帥著名的阿曼尼外套，他在2004/2005年的賽季中一直穿著

The cheque was accepted at half-time during the Man City game by TV
