Chelsea, four wins in four games going into this fixture won the battle of
the 100 per cent records on Saturday morning. Tottenham had three wins in
three.

Youth team manager Ruud Kaiser was delighted with his team, the game and
the refereeing.

“The game was a high tempo from the start,” he said. “Both teams played
really tremendous. It was a top game from both teams. We got the first
chance to score, a Ben Sahar header, but he missed, and then Tottenham
missed a chance.

“The referee was really good. Tottenham got a little carried away at the
beginning but he just talked, he didn't give yellow cards, and when the
game cooled off he was able to let it go.”

Just past the half-hour Chelsea took the lead. It was a solo effort by 16
years old Slovakian winger Miroslav Stoch. “Miroslav passed two players
then from 30 yards out hit it in the far corner. It was a great goal.”

Just over ten minutes later Chelsea struck again. It was the fourth goal
of the season for 17 years old Israeli centre-forward Ben Sahar. “There
was a great kick by goalkeeper James Russell, Sergio Tejera flicked it on
in the air, and Ben Sahar was all alone one-on-one with the goalkeeper and
finished well.”

The first ten minutes of the second-half was all Tottenham. “Tottenham
really put pressure on us,” said Ruud. “James Russell saved us twice.”

But the game turned further Chelsea's way with more glorious individual
skill, this time from 16 years old Spanish midfielder Tejera. “Sergio got
the ball, turned away from two players, passed another one and went into

himself from the penalty. So it was 0-3.”

And in the last two minutes it became 0-4. “A good Michael Woods pass, a
great Ben Sahar pass, and Miroslav ran in to score his second.”

Ruud is not getting carried away with the score. “Nil-four seems a big
gap, but it was not like this. It was a tense game, they had chances. It
could have been two or three to them and four or five to us. We were
really effective. We had six or seven chances and scored four, they had
three or four chances and didn't score.”

Morten Nielsen, the 16 years old Danish forward signing from FC Copenhagen,
made his full debut on the left-wing. A tall player, he did well until
tiring in the second-half.

Chelsea lose five players this week to England Under 18s: Jack Cork who
was rested on Saturday after playing all the youth and reserve games, Sam
Hutchinson, Ryan Bertrand, Lee Sawyer who was suspended and Scott Sinclair
who has been playing more reserve team football than youth.
