http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=419389 Osgood ashes laid to rest at Stamford Bridge Sunday, Oct 01, 2006 The ashes of Chelsea legend Peter Osgood were laid to rest under the penalty spot at the Shed end of Stamford Bridge at the conclusion of a memorial service this lunchtime. Over two-and-a-half thousand fans attended the service. Speakers included Ossie's first manager, Tommy Docherty, his captain Ron Harris, his goalkeeper Peter Bonetti, and contemporary Chelsea was represented by chief executive Peter Kenyon. Players past and present attended: John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole were joined by David Webb, John Dempsey, Marvin Hinton, John Hollins, Tommy Baldwin, John Boyle, Allan Harris, Terry Venables, Barry Bridges, Joe Fascione, Ray Wilkins, Steve Finnieston, Tommy Langley, Garry Stanley and Kerry Dixon. Former managers Ron Suart and Bobby Campbell were there. So was former chairman Lord Chelsea, now Lord Cadogan. From Southampton came manager Lawrie McMenemy, and former colleagues Jim Steele, Peter Rodriguez and Brian O'Neill. Peter Osgood died suddenly on March 1st aged 59. He scored 150 goals in 380 games for Chelsea, winning the FA Cup in 1970 when he scored in every round (still the last man to achieve that), and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1971 when he scored in the Final and the Replay.
