http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=422341 Mancienne in Loftus Road loan Monday, Oct 16, 2006 Michael Mancienne, Chelsea's England Under 19 international defender, has joined Queen's Park Rangers on loan for one month. Eighteen year-old Mancienne has been a regular in the centre of Chelsea's reserve team defence for the past two seasons and was also part of the first team’s pre-season preparations. He was an unused sub in the Community Shield, as he was in the final game of last season at Newcastle. The loan to QPR will hopefully provide Mancienne, who can also play right-back or in midfield, with first team experience. He joins his reserve team captain Jimmy Smith on loan at Loftus Road. Smith, who played his first 90 minutes on Saturday after a previous game as substitute, scored QPR's first in 3-3 draw with Norwich. The goal was a 20-yard drive into the bottom corner.
