Miroslav Stoch's season on loan in Holland with FC Twente just gets better and better. Still unbeaten in the Eredivisie, Steve McClaren's side are two points clear at the halfway stage, with the league now in its winter break. The young Slovak has scored three in his last two league games, helping his side come from behind twice to stay ahead of PSV at the top of the table. In the Premier League, it has been a good couple of weeks for Michael Mancienne at Wolves, who have moved out of the relegation zone and up to 12th after wins against Bolton, Tottenham and Burnley. Mancienne has been used as an energetic midfield substitute by manager Mick McCarthy, impressing with his pace and tackling. He also started in last week's 3-0 defeat at Manchester United, playing the full 90 minutes. The England Under 21 international has now played in 14 of Wolves' 18 games, starting 10. Franco Di Santo is still waiting to add to his solitary goal of the season, but remains a regular in the Blackburn side, with 12 starts to his name. On Saturday, the Argentine's low volley almost levelled things up for Rovers against Spurs, and he was eventually substituted with 18 minutes to go. Scott Sinclair has returned to action with Wigan after a month-long absence, playing a combined 64 minutes in two sub appearances against Birmingham and Stoke. Patrick van Aanholt and Jack Cork have helped Coventry to back-to-back wins in the Championship, the Dutchman at left-back and the Englishman in central midfield. The Sky Blues had previously gone 10 league games without victory, though both Chelsea men are regular starters. Van Aanholt starting 17 games, Cork 18, out of a possible 22. It has been a disappointing campaign for Reading, who parted company with former Chelsea reserve team manager Brendan Rodgers last week, yet Ryan Bertrand continues to progress at the Madejski Stadium. The 20-year-old has racked up 1768 minutes of football in his 20 league starts, more than any other outfield player for the Royals. Rhys Taylor remains unused by QPR, another side who changed manager this week, with Paul Hart replacing the outgoing Jim Magilton. In League One, Jacob Mellis, Tom Taiwo and Liam Bridcutt are all gaining regular football. At Southampton, Mellis has started seven league games in midfield, and come on as a sub five times, yet is still looking for his first goal from midfield. Taiwo, at Carlisle, has helped his side go four league games unbeaten, though he was sent off in the first of that run. He has one goal in 19 appearances. Bridcutt has 15 starts for bottom of the table Stockport, who have now lost their last nine league games. Finally in League Two, Nana Ofori-Twumasi has extended his loan stay at Dagenham and Redbridge for another month.
