Obviously clubs are going to be making decisions as well, so they are going to want to know. “For myself, I always have a week off and then get back on it in the gym running, to be professional enough to be 100 per cent right for the club if I do decide that route, or whatever I decide. There's 100 per cent enough in the tank. “I just don't want to make a knee-jerk decision and regret it at a later date. I love playing football, that's all I've ever known to be honest. While I still can play, and physically I know I can, I know I've not played too much this year but maybe that will serve me well next year. “To be clear I know I can. When you are 38, 39, 40 you know your body can't really do it at the top top, but while I can still do it and feel like I can still do it at the top, I think it's important I give it a go.” Terry believes the Chelsea supporters who have idolised him throughout his career will give him his backing if he decides to join another Premier League side. He added: “I don't think you can ever tarnish what I have done here.
