Academy defender Trevoh Chalobah has today joined Championship side
Ipswich Town on a season-long loan.
The 18-year-old centre-back, who joined the Chelsea Academy as an Under-9,
heads to Portman Road for his first loan spell away from the club.
Chalobah has won a host of honours during his time in our Academy,
including two FA Youth Cups and the UEFA Youth League. The youngster ended
last season by being named among the senior team's substitutes for the FA
Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley, having been an unused sub
in the Premier League earlier in the campaign.
Chalobah has represented England across the younger age groups and was
part of the side which won the European Under-19 Championships in 2017.
