奧梅羅正式轉會加盟西甲球隊萊加內斯。這名後衛曾經在2018/19賽季租借效力
萊加內斯，獲得31次出場時間。

奧梅羅2012年從標準列日簽約加盟切爾西，先後被租借到荷蘭、土耳其、西班牙
和英冠球隊米德爾斯堡。
這名奈及利亞國腳為國家隊出場超過50次，包括參加2014年和2018年的世界盃。
他最近幫助非洲雄鷹在非洲國家盃上殺入半決賽。2013年，他隨同米克爾和摩西斯曾

Earlier this month, Goal reported that Chelsea were holding out for ￡6
million (€7m/$8m) for Omeruo, but the Blues have accepted a bid of around
￡4.6m.

Chelsea will keep a percentage of a future sale of Kenneth Omeruo to a
third team. The blues will be entitled to 15% of that hypothetical
transfer in case they leave the Leganes heading to another squad during
the five years that the new Nigerian central contract will last.
The return of Omeruo to Leganes is not yet official, but in Butarque it is
already taken for granted. The defender will sign for five years, until
2024, in exchange for a disbursement close to five million euros. There
are three less than those contained in the purchase clause of its
assignment to pickles last season.
The negotiation has been hard because the Londoners have been very
demanding with the amounts they demanded, not only to the Leganes, but to
any team that has knocked on the door of Stamford Bridge. Celta, for
example, came to offer six million euros that Chelsea rejected. Something
similar happened with Villarreal or Amiens.
Finally, they have accepted the proposal of the Leganes (who initially
offered 3.9 million) because of the insistence of the soccer player (he
only wanted to play with the pickles) and, among other reasons, because
this percentage of future sales has been included that can increase the
benefits of Nigerian international transfer even though he never played
with Chelsea or an official match.

Kenneth Omeruo: Nigerian 'happy' to join Leganes from Chelsea

Nigeria international defender Kenneth Omeruo has rejoined Spanish club
Leganes on a permanent deal from Premier League side Chelsea.
The 25-year-old's 31 appearances for the La Liga outfit last season came
in his seventh loan move away from Chelsea who had been his parent club
for seven years.
Back in March, he told the BBC he was keen to link up with Leganes on a
permanent basis and the centre back is delighted to pen a long-term deal
until June 2024.
"I'm so happy to be joining a team that helped me grow so much last
season," Omeruo wrote on social media. "I can't wait to start and help
this team achieve greatness."
Omeruo joined Chelsea in 2012 from Belgian club Standard Liege, but was
sent out on loan to the Netherlands, the English Championship, Turkish
Super Lig and Spanish La Liga. Despite failing to make a competitive
appearance for the West London side, he thanked Chelsea for letting him
fulfil a childhood dream.
"I have nothing but love for this club. Chelsea made my dreams as a child
to become a reality. Thank you for an amazing seven years," he added.
"Thanks to all Chelsea fans for the love. Thank you Eddie Newton, you are
an amazing coach and manager. I will never forget this club. But it's time
to move on and realise my full potential."
Omeruo can play at centre-back or right-back and is regarded as one of the
continent's finest young defenders.
A 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with Nigeria, he represented his
country at U-17 and U-20 level and has 50 caps for the Super Eagles, most
recently helping them finish third at the Nations Cup in Egypt last month.
