Christian Pulisic on feeling fit, finding balance and fighting as a team

Speaking exclusively to Chelsea TV after last night's 0-0 draw with
Sevilla, Christian Pulisic reflected on a job well done defensively and
gave an update on his own fitness having now started two games this
season.

The American played all but the final couple of minutes of our Champions
League opener, and although he did not have the major impact going forward
he so often did at the back-end of last season, he certainly contributed
to a solid collective showing full of shape and sturdiness.
'It was definitely a tough game,' said Pulisic. 'It was one of those where
there were not a lot of chances in the game, a really hard-fought match,
we did a lot of good defending, and I think we can walk away proud with a
point.
'They're a strong team. They put us to the test, they moved the ball
really well and we definitely defended a lot.

'It's everyone's job to be behind the ball at times,' added Pulisic of his
own shift. 'We have to help out defensively. Going away from the game with
a clean sheet will give us some confidence. It's not bad for the guys.
'We have got to find the balance [between defence and attack]. We want to
create more chances; I want to help with that. We are going to continue to
work to improve as a team.'
October has yielded Pulisic's first three appearances since the nasty
hamstring injury he sustained in the FA Cup final at Wembley. Having come
on against Crystal Palace in the last fixtures before the international
break, he has now started two matches in four days and reported to Chelsea
TV he is in good shape.
'Fitness-wise I feel great,' he said. 'I'm getting back to where I was, I
feel strong, I feel like I can play 90 minutes, and I'm happy.'
