Chelsea forward Timo Werner has admitted he was 'very happy' with his
personal performance against Zenit Saint Petersburg last night but a win
would have made it much sweeter.

Werner looked back to his best throughout the 3-3 draw with the Russian
champions, scoring twice and assisting Romelu Lukaku's leveller.
Timo's strike one minute and 23 seconds into the match became Chelsea's
fastest ever UEFA Champions League goal, overtaking former captain John
Terry who notched in 2014.
Speaking first about his personal game, the German acknowledged his
satisfaction at returning to top form.
'It was important for me to come back in the shape and the two goals and
assist helped to come back to a level as what I had before the injury,'
said Timo.
'I am happy about that. But in the end, you play like a team and when you
don't win you are also disappointed.'
Timo highlighted Chelsea's bright start at the Gazprom Arena but
ultimately thinks the side dropped below our levels which meant we went
into the break behind.
'We had a very good 15 minutes and I don't know why we dropped,' added the
German. 'I think the goal helped us to come into the game.
'But at the end we had not the last punch to score the second goal in the
first 15 minutes because we had the chances to create some good
opportunities and after that we lacked a bit of confidence.

'In the second half we played much better, and we turned the result
around. After the first half when you lead 3-2 you have to win this game.'
The German also touched on his recent hamstring injury, which kept him out
of five matches.
'Before my injury I felt much better than the week before and I had much
more confidence in my movements and my style and how I play,' explained
the forward.
'After injury it was difficult to come back after one month. I never had
something like that.'
