The Blues welcome RB Salzburg to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening in what will be Potter's first game in charge of the club, with the former Brighton manager hoping to record a first Champions League victory of the campaign. Jorginho has revealed he has spoken with Potter since his arrival, as he often did with Tuchel, and reflected on a whirlwind week that saw the change in management. 'A lot has happened in the last week as everyone knows,' Jorginho said at his pre-match press conference. 'Life is fast and things can change quickly. While Potter has only been working with the players for a few days, Jorginho admits the 47-year-old Englishman has already made a positive impression on the group as he looks to get his ideas across. 'He is a good coach, he's proven that at Brighton, and I think this new challenge is not just for us but it's for him as well,' added the Italian. 'As we always do, we try to help everyone as a team and I think he is well prepared for what's coming. 'It's going to be a new experience for him and I think he will like it a lot. That new challenge under Potter's leadership begins tonight when the Blues host RB Salzburg in our first home game of the 2022/23 Champions League, a match which will be our new head coach's first experience of managing in the competition. However, despite things moving quickly, Jorginho believes that for players and manager change is just part of life and it is a challenge they are all ready to take on together and relishing. 'We have games coming and life moves fast so we don't have much time to stop and think again and again,' he said. 'We need to concentrate and focus on what we need to do. I think he is well prepared for what is coming. It's going to be a new experience for him and I think he will like it a lot.' The midfielder also explained why his early experience of working with Potter at Cobham in recent days, as well as that of playing against his Brighton side over the past few seasons, leaves him confident the new manager will be a good fit at Chelsea. 'He is a humble coach but with a really good way to work. He has this challenge and I believe that he is going to do very well because he has good ideas and he has a group of players who are ready to try to do the best we can and listen to what he wants. 'At Brighton I could see a team very well organised tactically and a team that wanted to play football, making so many passes and trying to hurt the other team with the ball through the lines, attacking a lot, pressing high. So a very positive, offensive mentality. He did very well against us and against other big teams.' To do that we need to work everyone together in the same direction.' Of course, the focus has been heavily on Chelsea during the build-up to this Champions League fixture against Salzburg following our change in manager, but there are two teams in any game and Jorginho is well aware of the threat our opponents can pose tonight. 'It's a team very vertical and aggressive, very dangerous,' added the 29-year-old. 'It's not an easy game. It's another challenge with everything going on. It's going to be our first game with the new manager and it's the Champions League.
