Our Men's, Women's and Academy sides came together on Tuesday evening (8 May) alongside supporters for our End of Season Awards at Stamford Bridge. Held in the Great Hall at Stamford Bridge, eight awards were handed out during the ceremony. This included our Men's Player of the Season, Women's Player of the Season, the Players' Player of the Season honours, and awards for those in our Academy. You can see who won which award during a star-studded night below... PFA Community Champions - Conor Gallagher and Zecira Musovic The PFA Community Champion award highlights the contribution of players on our Men's and Women's teams who have gone above and beyond in their work with the Chelsea Foundation. Both Conor and Zecira were chosen for their amazing efforts in the community. Speaking after receiving the award, Gallagher said: 'The foundation does amazing work and we know how much it means to everyone involved. It’s always a pleasure to put a smile on people’s faces.' Musovic added: ‘We are inspiring the next generation and it’s amazing the work we get to do.’ Women's Academy Player of the Year - Katie Cox Having progressed from our Academy, Katie has started to train with the first-team squad this season in addition to being named on the substitutes’ bench against Ajax and Barcelona during our UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign. An England international at Under-19 level, she helped the young Lionesses qualify for the European Championships which take place this summer in Lithuania. Congratulations, Katie! Men's Academy Player of the Year - Alfie Gilchrist One of our own, Gilchrist has been awarded the Men’s Academy Player of the Year after earning a place in the first-team squad. The versatile defender made his debut against Crystal Palace in the Premier League back in December, going on to make his first start in Blue against Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup. In April, Alfie celebrated scoring his first goal for his boyhood club against Everton during our 6-0 victory and he has continued to earn minutes and starts, most recently against Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham. Well done, Alfie! All Bright Award - Zecira Musovic Musovic won her second award of the night, picking up the AllBright award having won the PFA Community Champions prize. AllBright is a global leader for gender equality in the workplace and the leading network for women and their professions. Musovic was chosen for her outstanding work on and off the pitch during this season. Congratulations, Zecira! Women's Players' Player of the Year - Jess Carter A reliable and impressive performer in our defence throughout the season, Jess' contribution to the Women's team this term has been recognised by her teammates. The England international, who was excellent at last summer's World Cup, has featured in all but one of our WSL fixtures this term and was flawless during our historic Women's Champions League semi-final first-leg victory over Barcelona in Catalonia. Congratulations, Jess! Women's Player of the Year - Lauren James An award voted for by supporters, James has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in which she has struck 16 goals across all competitions. In November, the 22-year-old netted her first WSL hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge and then repeated the trick on her next outing at our home stadium against Manchester United. James becomes the seventh Chelsea Women's player to claim the award, which was created in 2015. Congratulations, Lauren! Men's Players' Player of the Year - Cole Palmer Voted for by the men's first-team squad, Cole's decisive performances across the campaign have been recognised by his team-mates. After arriving from Manchester City last summer, the 22-year-old quickly established himself in the side and has contributed to 37 goals in all competitions this term. He has also earned his first caps for the England senior national team. Congratulations, Cole! Men's Player of the Year – Cole Palmer Voted for by supporters, Palmer has been awarded the Men’s Player of the Season for his huge contribution on the pitch throughout the season. Notching 24 goals and 13 assists, our No.20 recently became only the third player in Premier League history to reach 30-plus goal involvements in a single season while aged 21 or younger. Cole joins the likes of Eden Hazard, Thiago Silva and Willian as Chelsea players who have won both the Players’ Player and Player of the Season award in the same season.
