謝謝大家鼓勵，這是下半部～ P.J Brown, acquired via trade along with J.R. Smith in exchange for Tyson Chandler. P.J Brown，透過交易跟J.R. Smith一起換Tyshon Chandler Don’t misunderstand the reasoning behind this move—Chandler is in New Orleans now because he never came close to living up to his $70 million contract last season, and with Ben Wallace, Chandler would have been a bit redundant. P.J. Brown certainly isn’t a bad guy to have around, as he was quite the bruiser in his heyday. But, he’s 37 now and isn’t exactly at his physical prime. Brown's a Bull because his $8 million comes off the books after this season, where Chandler’s $9 million would’ve been around for many more years to come. He and Antonio Davis were integral parts of that team’s success, and the Bulls really felt the sting of their departures last season, especially in the playoffs. Griffin again played a large, yet subtle, role in the success of the Dallas Mavericks in 2006, which is most likely why Paxson signed the extra veteran help. Smith) for virtually nothing to create the room needed to sign Griffin. Also, Griffin is 32, which is a bit old to garner a 3-year deal, especially considering the fact that he’s not a 4-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year. And the terms of his contract still haven’t been announced—one can only hope that the money isn’t too steep, though considering he was lured away from a great situation in Dallas, it’s hard to guess. He’ll help, but there might have been a better move that Paxson could’ve made to bolster the frontcourt a little more efficiently (and inexpensively). Last year, they made the playoffs by the skin of their teeth with an extremely small, young, and overachieving team. Now, Paxson has added size and experience in Griffin, Wallace, and Brown, two potentially successful draft picks in Thomas and Sefolosha, and rid the payroll of Tyson Chandler’s nasty contract. Some of these moves have been pretty harshly criticized, and maybe they won’t all work out, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that the Bulls severely upgraded their team this summer and should really make some serious noise come October. The only problem will be figuring out a way to get all these new guys some playing time!
