Del Negro says Taj Gibson won't start at PF
Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro effectively ended speculation that Taj Gibson
might start at power forward on opening night.
''All positions are up for grabs,'' Del Negro said. ''But, no, Tyrus [Thomas]
missed a lot of time, four games, and we got into a routine. I just want to
stay with it right now...don't read anything into that.''

Tyrus Thomas came off the Bulls bench for 10 points, three rebounds and three
turnovers in 26 minutes on Monday.
Rookie Taj Gibson had 10 points (on 5-of-6 shooting) and three steals in
another start and Thomas wasn't pleased about coming off the bench. Coach
Vinny Del Negro has since said "don't read anything into" Gibson starting,
and Thomas should resume his rightful spot in the starting five on Friday.

"I don't think it should even be questionable from what I contributed to this
team last season and what I did throughout camp, but like I said, he [Bulls
coach Vinny Del Negro] is the guy that makes the decisions. Whatever decision
he makes I still I have to go out and play," Thomas told the Associated Press.
