Orlando Magic notebook: Lawrence Frank is visiting the team, but not because of
Vince Carter

In January, Vince Carter averaged 8.7 points per game and shot just 28.4
percent from the field.

Is that why Lawrence Frank, Carter's former New Jersey Nets coach, attended
the Orlando Magic's shootaround on Tuesday? Is that why Frank is spending the
week with the Magic?

"No, no, no, no, no, no," Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It has nothing to
do with that. I just wanted him to come down and just share some knowledge with
us and some thoughts and some different perspective."

他解釋到:"這一切都跟那無關(Carter的低迷表現),我只是邀請他(Frank)來跟我們分享所

Van Gundy said he invited Frank to spend some time with the team after the
Nets dismissed Frank in November. Van Gundy explained that Frank wasn't able to
visit in December and couldn't visit in January because the Magic spent much of
the month on the road.
Van Gundy說,在籃網隊把Frank掃地出門的11月就想邀請他過來,但之前兩個月都沒有成行

Frank said he believes Carter will snap out of his shooting slump. "Vince will
be fine," Frank said. " Jason Kidd went through it during the playoffs one year
, and if a guy like Jason can lose confidence, anybody can."

Full circle
J.J. Redick laughed when asked if he felt he has finally come full circle as
a player. He's gone from someone who two years ago couldn't get off the bench
to someone whose name is being floated in at least one trade rumor.
"Yeah, that's pretty funny," Redick said Tuesday. "I want to stay here. I don't
want to go anywhere. … But I can remember when my name wasn't out there at
all."
J.J.Redick在過去兩年不但坐足了板凳,而且他的名字不斷地出現在最少一個交易傳聞中.

According to HoopsWorld.com, Redick's name has been linked in a trade to the
Chicago Bulls for SG John Salmons.
Magic General Manager Otis Smith said that there have been no trade offers
for any of his players that are worth considering.
根據HoopsWorld的消息指出,Redick是魔術隊與公牛隊交易後衛John Salmons的可能人選.
