The Magic's most popular player in the trade market seems to be J.J. Redick,
however sources close to the situation say while Chicago expressed some
interest in a Redick for John Salmons swap the Magic never engaged the
discussion; the talks died off as soon as they started.
Magic GM Otis Smith has been resolute in his commitment to J.J. for the past
three seasons and now that Redick is finally delivering at a high level the
Magic are not interested in moving him. They will at some point have to
decide whether or not to pay J.J., but as Otis has proven over the years he's
not dealing with July business in February
