Boozer受傷報導
http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/10/bulls-2.html#comments
The Bulls announced Sunday that Carlos Boozer will miss eight weeks with a
fractured right hand.
The team said Boozer suffered the injury on Saturday, a day off for the
Bulls. The fracture of the fifth metacarpal will require surgery.
If Boozer misses all eight weeks, he will return following the Bulls' annual
November trip on November 27. That would mean 15 missed games for the Bulls'
biggest offseason acquisition.
Boozer missed 138 of 492 games (28 percent) during six season in Utah. Asked
about his tendency to suffer injuries during his introductory news
conference, Boozer said his injuries have been unrelated and non-chronic and
bad luck.
This is more of the same. Boozer told team officials he tripped and fell at
his home.
Taj Gibson will return to his starting role at power forward in Boozer's
absence.
Here's what Boozer had to say about the injury on Sunday night:
"I was at my house, came around a corner, fell over a bag, put my arm down to
try to brace myself and fractured my fifth metacarpal into three pieces. I'll
get surgery on Tuesday, do my rehab and conditioning, be around the guys."
"If I had landed with an open hand I would've been fine. But somehow my right
hand got turned over and that's what caused the break."
"It happened last night, probably 5:30-6 o'clock at night, got it looked at
right away. I find out for sure today when I saw the hand specialist. I'm
going to get it done as soon as possible, so Tuesday morning I'm going in
early to get the surgery taken care of so I can start my rehab process."
"It was just dark. My doorbell had rang and I tripped over a bag, tried to
brace myself and it popped. I jumped back up, opened the door and my hand was
still a little bit numb."
"It was a big bag I had first thing over here at the hotel for training camp.
I went back to my place, hadn't unpacked the bag yet, came around the corner,
running to get the door and fell over it. I'm 265, 5 percent body fat.
I'm heavy, man. I guess I had to brace myself and my weight just collapsed the
bone right there."
"At least it happened right now and not later in the season."
"I'm disappointed and feel bad about it, but we've got guys who will be able
to step up and play. I'm going to be there supporting. I'll be the biggest
cheerleader and sideline coach and be busting my butt to try and get healthy,
attacking my rehab to try and get right."
"I didn't know. To me, it was just a little bit sore, it wasn't a sharp pain.
I called the doc, the doc asked me if there as some swelling. I said, 'Yeah,
there's a little bit of swelling, there's like a little knot.' So I went and
got some X-rays and there was a fracture. I didn't know right away. It was
obvious through the X-ray. When it heals up, they'll slide the pins out and
I'll go from there."
"I'll be back stronger than ever and my hand will be just fine. Right when it
heals up, they'll slide pins out and move forward."

line with a felony bad play.

Boozer and Deng are PUKE players. Something about these guys. Snakebitten or
something! I wouldn't count on Deng. Any lineup with Melo is better than
anything we got here.

What the hell is going on around here? You know, I can't believe this,
Carlos. I'm so disappointed in us. I mean, all our lives we've been saying
how great it would be if we went to the NBA Finals, right? And now it's our
party and we're in the john. We're in the john!
alan on October 3, 2010 9:17 PM
An Injury is an injury doesn't matter how it happened. The Guy is Always
hurt. Its actually worse that the injury occurred NOT playing ball.I predicted
boozer would miss 10-15 games and he covered that before the season
starts.Say what you want this was a bad signing and everything the utah fans
are saying is true.
kat on October 3, 2010 8:51 PM
I feel sorry for you all. No really! Boo can play great when he wants but he
needs to grow a set. The man is a big baby! If he breaks a nail he will set
out. Hate to tell you all better get used to it. Yeah a broken hand is bad
but he has and will sit out for stupid things just look at his playing
history! Good luck with loozer!

"injury prone" makes sense as a statement if someone gets injured in the same
place over and over, this was a freak accident. All the "told you so " cynics
sound like morons on this one.
George Clooney on October 3, 2010 7:48 PM
It is obvious Alan is not a real Bulls fan..just your standard troll. My
guess is he is a Bucks fan.
And for all of the Jazz ans here who are "so glad" Boozer is gone...they
actually took the time too find the Chicago Sports columns so they could
post...on a Sunday none the less. Yeah....I'm sure they're "so glad"...so
much so that they had to come here to tell us about it. Riiiight.
Lastly...anyone saying NOW you have to make the Melo trade...they're more
clueless than they were when they wanted it weeks ago. Now you literally
can't afford to make that trade and give up your two best front court
players. Not unless of course you want your front court to be Kurt Thomas,
Omer Asik and Brian Scalabrine...by themselves.
How would a lineup of
Rose, Melo, Brewer, Kurt Thomas and Omer Asik be a better bet for us than
Rose, Deng, Brewer, Noah and Taj?
Morons.
RRW on October 3, 2010 7:26 PM
He's your problem now Chicago. Eight week rehabs for Carlos Boozer take 4-5
months. Sorry Bulls fans I wouldn't wish Boozer on anyone. He's fools gold.
Can really play the game when he wants but is not dependable, durable, and
will never play through pain. Perfect example: The final game of the regular
season last year. That game meant anywhere from the 2 to the 5 seed in the
playoffs for the Jazz. "Buttercup Boozer" sat it out with a 'tweaked' stomach
muscle. Once again I feel bad for Bulls fans but am glad he is not doing this
to us anymore. 6 years was enough.
Go Bears! (I was on here to read about my beloved Bears, not put salt in
wound)
vince on October 3, 2010 7:14 PM
@King
I'd take that bet and also bet Loul deng will miss a minimum 10 games
also.Thats why I did not want boozer too many players with injury histories
are never a good thing. Not getting lebron or bosh set this franchise back 6-7
years in my opinion.
King on October 3, 2010 7:05 PM
Anyone want to bet me Rose misses multiple games this season too?
ned on October 3, 2010 6:48 PM
WHAT A JOKE!! PUT SUCH HIGH EXPECTATIONS ON SOMEONE WHO JUST CANT STAY
HEALTHY. GETS HURT WHEN NOT PLAYING. GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. BEFORE HE EVER
PLAYS A GAME. NOT A GOOD START TO HIS BULLS CAREER. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED
AND FRUSTRATED!!!!
Moveyourbody on October 3, 2010 6:28 PM
Ok, how does Boozer go and do this on his off day...? He can run up and down
a basketball court-and yet he trips at home and breaks his hand. Can we get
the real explanation for how this happened or should we just call him
Buster...never wanted him in the first place.
ChuckM on October 3, 2010 5:36 PM
Would Lou Piniella call this a "Bullie occurrence"?
Jordan got away with one.....or two on October 3, 2010 5:33 PM
Carma-- that's what this is-- the basketball gods are laughing. Utah got away
with a push-off foul that didn't get called and let Loozer walk. Oh, and I
agree with Fade--

"Boxer's fractures received their name from one of their most common
causes-punching an object with a closed fist. This occurs commonly during
fist fights or from punching a hard object such as a wall or filing cabinet."

I would of felt better if the bulls would of saved their money and just
waited until next summer to sign melo and or another free agent.Boozers
injury history(which was proved today before he even played a game) was too
shakey.IM PISSED BAD INVESTMENT NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yet another great John Paxson signing. EVERYBODY knew about Boozer's injury
problems. But good ole Pax, in order to save face by striking out with the
big 3, signed this clown.
REDHOTBULLS on October 3, 2010 4:33 PM
Everything happens for a reason, we shouldn't push the panic button just yet.
This is the time for other players to step up... We still have quality big
men, Noah, Gibson,Thomas, we'll be ok.
JMOSS on October 3, 2010 4:31 PM
WOW. Is all I can Say,
Make the Carmelo Trade now, Boozer is supposed to be our seconds scoring
option. However, if he is going to be undependable as history his shown us.
Carmelo is not injury proned. Noah will surely miss 20 - 30 games this season.
dro03 on October 3, 2010 4:25 PM
Yeah it sucks, but its not as bad as it may seem. We have Taj as a back up
and he should progress. Also we do play in the East, even though the league
has changed its appearance somewhat, the East still has far less competition
than the West. This team is still improved without Boozer, hopefully guys
like Kyle Korver, Keith Bogans, James Johnson, Omer Asik, Kurt Thomas and
even maybe Scalabrine's punk a$$ can step up to fill the void. The main thing
that will suffer will be chemistry but hey Boozer wasn't brought here to be a
savior.
Wardell on October 3, 2010 4:23 PM
Can't he wave The Jack Haley Towel with his good hand?
FromSLC on October 3, 2010 4:22 PM
Get used to it Chicago: this is classic Boozer for you. You won't see him on
the court until next year - probably around February or early March - I
promise you. See, he's going to wait until the injury is healed, and will
give it even more time - just to make sure it feels "just right". So glad we
let him go in Utah. There's a reason he's loathed in Utah, and now it's your
turn to find out why.
Scott42444 on October 3, 2010 4:17 PM
Time for Luol and Taj to showcase themselves for Denver, I guess.
B on October 3, 2010 3:41 PM
On your day off dummy ?
D-Will/Big Al on October 3, 2010 3:35 PM
This is why the people in Utah hate him. He get hurt and he milk injury and
the longer he is out the sucker your team is going to be.
Alan on October 3, 2010 3:33 PM
The bulls would sign the most injury prone FA on the market and he would of
course break his hand before he plays his 1st game.Thats irony for you.The
guy sucks he's always injured,he doesnt play D and is undersized for a
PF.Give me a break.
Justin on October 3, 2010 3:27 PM
I'm sure some more information will come out on this -- I hope. Another
"interesting" off-time injury.
@alan -- really man? I'm sure you're irate about a lot of things, the signing
of Boozer should not be one of them. He's a very good player and despite what
ridiculous comments you make, the Bulls ARE a much better team with Boozer
out on the court.
Why are you surprised? on October 3, 2010 3:21 PM
This is what he does.
I doubt he punched a wall, he's too much of a sissy for that.
It was probably a money counting accident.

Now bulls fans can see why I was IRATE they signed this guy.His whole career
is injury prone he is always hurt.Bad investment and now the roster is worst
than it was last year
Sour Grapes on October 3, 2010 3:05 PM
Wow... 15 games? I GUESS its not that terrible and hopefully they can go 8-7
in that time or even better but i expected this from boozer..It was just a
matter of when and not IF.
Hector on October 3, 2010 3:04 PM
Boozer hurt? Go figure!
jim on October 3, 2010 3:02 PM
Carlos, we want a refund! Tell me you didn't punch a wall.
jay cutler on October 3, 2010 3:02 PM
Wow. Not good news at all. Very bad way to start the season. Just ask the sox
how hard it is 2 bounce back from a bad start to the season
basketball_guru on October 3, 2010 3:00 PM
So surprised... It's just the beginning my fellow Bulls fans. I wish him a
quick recovery and another stat-stuffing season...
Jazz Fan on October 3, 2010 2:58 PM
Sorry Chicago, but get used to Nancy boy and his injuries to keep him off the
court. Good riddance Loozer.
Blacktie on October 3, 2010 2:55 PM
A fractured 5th metacarpal is usually called a "Boxer's Fracture." C'mon
Tribune and do some investigative reporting and find out what Boozer hit to
break his hand.
Shark on October 3, 2010 2:43 PM
Just freaking amazing! Thanks for taking him out of the most important month
of the first half of the season
Phil V on October 3, 2010 2:41 PM
You have got to be kidding me...
