教練被問太多次 是不是讓Deng打太久的問題 他說:少打一分鐘是差多少啦?
Rose說 現在一切小心 就只為了健康的進季後賽
The Bulls seem to reach new heights every game, except in one category.
It's an offshoot of back-to-back thrashings of the Kings and the Hawks, and
it's a very good thing.
Luol Deng averaged 33.5 minutes in the Bulls' Monday-Tuesday victories.
Derrick Rose's services were needed for just 28.5 minutes per contest.
"I'm not complaining that we're blowing people out," Rose said Thursday after
practice at the Berto Center. " 'Bout time, is what I'm thinking."
Rose said he'll never gripe about a reduced workload for two reasons: He
loves watching the reserves play, saying: "It feels good when the bench comes
in and we go from up nine points to 20. It's like an easy game. They're
playing great right now and they love playing together. They're the reason
we're beating teams the way we're beating them."
And less mileage should help him when the playoffs begin in about three weeks.
"Save my legs," he said.
Stronger legs can mean more accurate late-game shooting and the potential for
easy buckets, an emphasis of coach Tom Thibodeau's.
"Thibs always says, 'We have to run and (be able to) run late in the game,'"
Rose said. "Easy points can help us."
Deng still ranks fourth in the NBA in minutes played, at 39.2 per game, and
Rose is 14th, at 37.4.
But Thibodeau doesn't view either number as excessive and has gotten annoyed
at the suggestion. So he got a chuckle Wednesday when a reporter asked a
self-deprecating question about the "geniuses" who believe Deng and Rose play
too many minutes.
"Some people say: 'This guy shouldn't play 37 minutes,'" Thibodeau said.
"What's the difference between 37 and 36? I know we had Ray Allen and Paul
Pierce play 38 minutes a game in Boston and they were in great shape and
could handle it.
"How you pace your team is very important, and there are different ways to do
it. Sometimes you give a player a day off from practice or he practices less."
Thibodeau also pointed out that the Bulls are a young team, with the
exception of Kurt Thomas. It seems hard to believe, but Deng won't turn 26
until April 16. And starters Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah have missed enough
games because of injuries to be fresh through June.
"I think our guys did a great job of preparing themselves in the offseason to
come in in great shape," he said. "If we have to go to the bench more, we
will. But I think our starters have handled their minutes very well."
Just to be safe, Rose said, the players are operating in something of a
"safe" mode.
"Right now everybody is trying to make sure they're healthy. They're getting
massages, they're getting rest, eating right, making sure they're not going
out," he said. "We're making sure we go into the playoffs
