MILWAUKEE — The Bulls have outrebounded four of the last five opponents
despite Joakim Noah hitting double figures just once in that span, which has
included uncharacteristic three- and four-rebound efforts before he had 11
Saturday night in the Bulls 95-87 victory over the Bucks.
"We want to be a gang rebounding team," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "Carlos
(Boozer) is a terrific rebounder. So are Omer (Asik), Taj (Gibson) and Lu
(Deng)."
Asked if he's concerned about Noah's recent numbers, Thibodeau scoffed.
"He missed a lot of time," he said of Noah's 30-game absence to thumb
surgery. "His timing is still not what he or we would like it to be. But he's
getting there. He's getting his hands on a lot of balls. He's not coming up
with them. But he's close. And it will come. He's putting in extra work."
Said Noah: "I need to play better."
