Rose averaged 25.6 points and 7.1 assists during the month, guiding the Eastern Conference-leading Bulls to a 13-3 record. The third-year star scored a career-high 42 points in an overtime loss to Indiana on March 18 and added a 30-point, 17-assist effort in a win over Milwaukee later in the period. Bryant logged 25.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists, as the Lakers lost just one of their 13 games during March to pull closer to the Western Conference front-running Spurs. The two-time league MVP netted a season-high 42 points in a triple overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns on March 22 and followed that up with a 37-point performance against the Clippers three days later.
