Reportedly, Grant Hill has narrowed his choices down to a final four: the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and, of course, his previous team, the Phoenix Suns. If Hill is serious about ending his career on a high note, his choice is clear —it's Chicago. Let's look at his choices. First, we'll start with his old team, the Suns. Could the Suns surpass the defending champion Mavericks, Lakers and improving Thunder? Probably not. Sources say they will not pick up Vince Carter's option and there is still a chance that Steve Nash could be traded. The current Suns team probably peaked last season with 54 wins, so chances are slim he could end his career on a high note there. What about the Clippers? If playing time is what matters to Hill, this would be the top choice. The Clippers lack a small forward and Hill could step right into that spot as well as provide some veteran leadership. With Chris Kaman, Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon the Clippers have a nice core but are probably a year away from contending for a championship. If he wants to be reunited with coach Mike D'Antoni and stay in that Phoenix system, maybe the Knicks are for him. In New York, however, Hill would most likely be a backup to Carmelo Anthony, and can the Knicks really surpass teams like the Heat, Celtics, Magic and Bulls in a very competitive Eastern Conference? There is a lot of talk about the Knicks getting Chris Paul or Steve Nash, but if not, all they have is Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. Finally, we come to the Bulls. Chicago has a lot to offer Hill, who recently turned 39. The Bulls have the reigning MVP and had the best record in the league last season. Also, they have a fairly young core that is built well for this condensed 66-game schedule. Hill could potentially fill the starting shooting guard spot but if not would be a very capable backup to Luol Deng. A bonus for the Bulls is Hill would probably be willing to come cheaply to the Bulls and allow them to spend their full middle-level exemption on someone like Jason Richardson. Adding Hill to the Bulls would make them an even more dangerous team and would give them another capable ball-handler. So, you see the choice is clear. If Grant Hill would like to have that storybook ending, he has no choice but to sign with the Bulls and enjoy playing alongside Derrick Rose and company.
