Johnson, Chicago Tribune reporter Tyson Chandler now has entered the United Center as a member of four opposing franchises. What Chandler had never entered his first professional building as until Monday is a champion. The center, who signed a free-agent contract with the Knicks after backstopping the Mavericks to a title, has a fan on the opposing sideline. "He's maybe one of the most underrated players in the league," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. Chandler admitted his first year in the New York microscope has been difficult. "A lot of times now we let our offense dictate our defense," he said. "We miss shots, hang our heads and the other team gets quick baskets. We have to get out of that habit and we have to get out of it really fast." Chandler also said he didn't enjoy the recruiting aspect to the free-agency process. "It was a bit much for me," he said. "I was glad for it to be over." His days as a franchise-saving teenager are long ago. He was drafted by the Clippers out of high school in 2001 and immediately dealt to the Bulls. "I came here young and didn't know what to expect," Chandler, 29, said. "I've learned a lot over the years.
