Source: No torn MCL for Taj Gibson http://goo.gl/Hch0u By Nick Friedell | ESPNChicago.com NEW YORK -- An MRI on the left knee of Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson showed no tear of the same sprained MCL that caused him to miss 10 games earlier this season, and he will be re-evaluated on Thursday, a source said. It's uncertain how long Gibson will be out, the source said. Gibson reinjured his knee during a 90-86 loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. He sprained his left MCL in February and was sidelined for a month before returning on March 21. He has played the past six games, averaging 10.1 points and 6.2 rebounds. Injuring the knee again left Gibson frustrated on Tuesday night. "That's what happens when you rush back and try to help your team win," Gibson said. If Gibson is out for a long stretch again, he will have plenty of company on the Bulls' bench. They already are without Marco Belinelli (ab strain), Rip Hamilton (lower back), Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) and Derrick Rose (knee). "It's definitely another big blow," Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich said of Gibson's injury. "I don't know what else to say but we got to hang together, find some healthy bodies, and the guys that are out there are going to have to step up even more. We've been short-handed all year. It's nothing new to us, but we are trying to nurse him back to 100 percent. He wasn't 100 percent to begin with. We're going to have to find a way."
