[情報] CUBS HIRE RED SOX SCOUT MATT DOREY
According to multiple industry sources, the Cubs are hiring scout Matt Dorey
from the Red Sox. Dorey, who spent the last four years as a Red Sox area
scout, will be a national cross-checker for Chicago.
Dorey, who started with the Sox (having been hired by former Sox director of
amateur scouting Jason McLeod, who is now the Cubs assistant GM) in the
Northwest in 2007 before moving to cover Louisiana and Texas in the last two
years, was credited with the scouting and signing of a number of prominent
Sox prospects in recent drafts, including 2010 picks Anthony Ranaudo, Garin
Cecchini, Kendrick Perkins and Lucas LeBlanc.
At the time that he was introduced as Cubs president of baseball operations,
Theo Epstein said that it was possible that he would bring over and promote
one employee from the Red Sox. Dorey is the first person whom Epstein and the
Cubs have added from the Boston baseball operations staff.
