[外電] 右手肘發炎進15日DL-手肘輕微發炎
ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have placed pitcher Yu Darvish on the disabled list
with inflammation in his right elbow.
Darvish was supposed to pitch on Thursday against the Rays, but left-hander
Robbie Ross Jr. will be called up and start instead. The Rangers have called up
left-handed reliever Alex Claudio from Triple-A Round Rock to hold down a spot
in the bullpen for at least Wednesday night.

Darvish told the Rangers he did not feel the elbow bothering him during
Saturday's start against the Astros. He did feel it when he tried to play catch
on Monday and it has not improved since then. Darvish, who allowed six runs in
four-plus innings in the start against the Astros, did not throw his usual
bullpen session on Tuesday.

Darvish was examined on Tuesday night by Dr. Keith Meister, who did not think
there was anything wrong with the ligament in the elbow. Meister's initial
diagnosis was inflammation, but Darvish will undergo an MRI on Thursday.
週二去Dr. Keith Meister那邊檢查，不覺得韌帶有問題，初步檢查是發炎，
明天進行MRI。
"Yu expressed he could pitch if we were in a different spot," Rangers general
manager Jon Daniels said. "If we were in a more meaningful spot [in the
standings], Yu would be good to go. But he agreed and we agreed to be cautious
and smart about it."

"I'm not too concerned," Darvish said through his interpreter before Thursday
night's game against Tampa Bay. "I'm just taking a precautionary measure. I'm
competitive. I want to go out there and compete but at the same time, I'm
thinking about my long-term situation. I don't want to go out there and risk my
future. I don't want my elbow to aggravate. I think it's a good decision that
I'm making right now."
Darvish paused when asked if he could pitch if the Rangers were in the pennant
chase.
"That's a difficult question, Darvish said. "I want to pitch. I think I could
if I pushed myself."
"I think I can throw," he said. "But if that's going to risk my elbow for the
future, I'm not going to take the risk."
達爾:想替球隊投球，同時也在意自己的手肘是否會有長期的影響。
不希望讓自己手肘未來增加風險，如果球隊現在處於競爭情勢，
會告訴自己可以上場投球的。但如果這樣做的風險會影響手肘的未來，
我不會這樣做的。
