With 102 caps and five Africa Nations Cups campaigns to his name, Morocco
captain Noureddine Naybet could call it a day after the final. The centre
back bids to end his international career on a high as the Lions of the
Atlas take on the hosts Tunisia.
"At 34 years of age, it's maybe the right moment," he told French
newspaper l'Equipe.
"I've given a lot, a young team is coming to the fore. It's up to
them to pick up the mantle."
Naybet, has been a part of every Morocco campaign since 1992 in
Senegal but has never reached the final before.
"There's a hole in my national team career and I can fill it against
Tunisia. All my career, I've given my all to my country with nothing
to show for it."
The pressure is on as the Lions aim to win their first continental
trophy since 1976 against a Tunisia team hungry for a first-ever
Africa Nations Cup trophy.
"We're everywhere [back home], on the news. The cities are going
wild. We must give it our all against Tunisia to fulfill the
expectations of the people," said Naybet.
