[訪問] LUQUE COMMENTS ON INCIDENT
'Respect' is the word on which Luque bases his explanation
on what happened on Wednesday, when he got involved in an
incident with Walter Pandiani. According to him, all
involved should overcome it and he also apologized for the
remarks he made towards the press.
Q: How are you feeling after this sad incident?
A: I am easy now, because for me it's something of the past
and we should forget about it. I know we all have to get
along, and the less problems there are the better it will be.
Q: Did you feel upset by something Pandiani said?
A: I don’t like players talking in a negative way about
others. Respect has to come first and we all should make
the group function as best as possible.
Q: So you think Pandiani lacked respect for you?
A: No, but I have my own ideas about it. I respect all
players, and the only thing I ask them is to respect me.
Q: Was this your first incident with him?
A: Until that day there hadn't been any problem and I
expect we'll return to a normal situation.
Q: Pandiani wanted to talk with you about it. Have you
spoken to each other already?
A: No, we haven't talked after the incident. But if one
day I will have to, I won't have a problem with it. If
Pandiani approaches me or if I will do it, there won't
be any problem on my part.
Q: What about your remarks towards the press?
A: These are moments of a lot of tension and it can
happen to anyone. After it I realized I shouldn't have
acted like I did. That's why I apologize to the journalists
that I could have offended.
Q: Do you think the dressing room of Deportivo is like a volcano?
A: No, because the unity of it is exactly what has brought us
successes. There's a great atmosphere and I think we already
have demonstrated it on many occasions.

Q: So how do you explain incidents like this happen quit a lot?
A: Well, these are consequences of the fact that we always
train close to our limits.
