CAPARROS IS THE NEW COACH OF DEPORTIVO http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/news.php Wednesday 8th June, 2005 The signing of the new coach was a priority for Lendoiro. The negotiations in order to sign Joaquin Caparros were intense and finally an agreement was reached. The ex-Sevilla trainer will coach Deportivo for the season 2005/06 Juan Maraver, the agent of Caparros said yesterday that the signing of his client was near to be closed in the next 48 hours. He wasn't wrong at all, in the beginning it seemed that the difference between both parts was the salary that the new coach of Depor will earn and the number of years of the contract. Caparros wanted at least two years, but at the end the deal will be for only one season. Meanwhile, rumours about new incorporations continues to appear in the headlines. Newspaper El Ideal wrote that Mallorca's goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya will be the next signing of the club in this summer. It seems that the deal was negotiated with the president of Mallorca when his team visited Riazor some weeks ago. INTERTOTO IN JULY It was also know the calendar that Deportivo will have to face in the Intertoto cup. Depor will start the competition on July 2nd or 3rd against the winner of the series between La Valetta (Malta) and Buducnost (Serbia & Montenegro). The first match will be played at Riazor.
