He talked to sports paper Marca and said that he considers this mission a very difficult one. Caparros also expressed his opinion about Depor's squad and his first impression about president Lendoiro. Q: Did you imagine some weeks ago that you would be one of the names on everyone’s lips this summer? A: I always said that success is a team issue. If we have collective success we will have it in the individual aspect. If I'm in everyone's mind it’s because of the work that we did in Sevilla as a team. Q: How do you define yourself? A: I'm a person that likes to coach. I think that daily work is the only way to obtain a strong mentality. I'm a trainer that always gives the best to his club and players. Q: People say that you’re a trainer with a lot of 'feeling' A: I don't like to talk about the word 'I.' I prefer to use the expression 'we'. Without his players, a coach is nothing. You can't achieve results if you don't involve yourself with the players. My philosophy is the team comes first. I want men that work for the squad. Q: One of your characteristics is that you like to work with youngsters A: That quality changed Sevilla’s image. Everyone saw us as a team that likes to foul the opponent. Now, people see that Sevilla has a lot of talent and quality to play football. Q: What do you think about the current Depor squad? A: The team has good players at an important level. The results don't lie. The squad achieved qualification in the Champions League for the last five seasons and that shows you the level that these men have reached. Q: Is it a challenge for you to surpass Irureta's achievements with Deportivo? A: Jabo's work is a reference point for anyone. It will be very hard to surpass. However, it’s the same situation for the man that will replace me at Sevilla. I have to trust in my work and avoid looking at the results achieved by my predecessor. Q: Are you ready to deal with a squad that's famous for being contentious? A: Rumours are one thing and reality is another. I don't have any information about troubles in the squad, but I insist that this is a very professional team. Q: What's your impression about Lendoiro?
