Spanish duo eye Nakamura

Reggina's Japanese international midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura is in the
middle of a tug-of-war between Spanish clubs Deportivo La Coruna and Atletico
Madrid.
The former Yokohama Marinos player was picked up by the Italian Serie A side
in 2002 and has played 34 times for Japan, netting nine times.
The 26-year-old's performances at the Oreste Granillo Stadium have attracted
interest from some of Europe's leading lights and Reggina president Lillo
Foti said: "We are evaluating requests.
"The strongest interest is coming from Spain and Nakamura will probably
become a player in La Liga.
"At the moment, Deportivo and Atletico Madrid are leading the race for his
signature, and we should know his destination by the end of June."
Foti has been impressed by Nakamura and gave his blessing for any potential
move, adding: "He's a good guy and a really good player.
"He has been a blessing not only for Reggina, but also for Italian football."
