Fed up Depor recall Pandiani from Birmingham

Birmingham City's hopes of securing a deal for Deportivo La Coruna striker
Walter Pandiani are in serious doubt.
Depor have registered Pandiani for the summer's Intertoto Cup competition,
suggesting that president Augusto Caesar Lendoiro is now convinced Birmingham
will not meet their asking price for the Uruguayan.
Blackburn Rovers have also made contact with Depor in the last week to
discuss a fee for Pandiani. Lendoiro is adamant he won't budge from his ￡3.5
million price for the striker.
New Depor coach Joaquin Caparros could be guiding Lendoiro's decision.
Pandiani only quit Depor last season because of a bust-up with previous coach
Javier Irureta and may be prepared to return to the Riazor to work under the
new trainer.
