Real Betis confirm Irureta replacing Ferrer

Real Betis have named former Deportivo La Coruna trainer Javier Irureta as
new coach.
Irureta has agreed a one-year contract to take over at the Seville-based side
with the option of a further 12 months.
Irureta will be presented to the media at a press conference at the club's
Manuel Ruiz de Lopera stadium on Tuesday evening.
Irureta replaces Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, who left Betis at the end of a
disappointing 2005/06 campaign, when the club finished 14th in the Primera
Liga, just three points above the relegation zone.
