After Deportivo drew 2-2 with America on Monday, the match against Nacional de Montevideo finished 3-0 thanks to goals of Pandiani, Valeron and Amavisca. In the first half it was Amavisca who provided Walter Pandiani to score the first goal of the match and cleared the way for Deportivo to win the trophy. In the second half Valeron, again after a pass of Amavisca, scored the second third after which Amavisca himself sentenced the match Deportivo clearly dominated this match and wasted several opportunities, including twice hitting the bar. But Deportivo finally played a decent match against a team with a reputation and seem to get in form to meet Rosenborg Trondheim next week. The football displayed was more dynamic than in the previous matches and especially Pandiani worked hard to achieve a good result. But in the first half the combination of Pandiani and Tristan (without Valeron) didn’t function very well and most danger had to come through the wings. That’s why Amavisca could claim an important part in this match. The five changes in the second half gave the team more freshness and in the end the team had their best moments.
