COMMENTS ON DRAW IN NORWAY
Coach Javier Irureta was “satisfied” after this team achieved a 0-0 draw at
Rosenborg, but added that his team cannot be confident yet about reaching the
Champions League. The result he labelled as being “good” although he knows
that “there will be 90 difficult minutes left”. But Irureta is optimistic
because before playing in Riazor against Rosenborg on August 26 “we will have
15 more days of preparation. Besides, we will have the help of our own
supporters and maybe the temperature could be in our advantage”.

About the match the Basque coach commented that “there was a lot of fighting
and the physical strength was very important in this match. We had possession
of the ball but Rosenborg had no problems creating chances by playing high
balls to Karadas and Johnsen. And that’s why one never can be too confident
against teams like this”.
("這場比賽中有許多身體方面的接觸，我們努力想控制住球但是顯然對於Karadas和
Johnsen我們還是顯得比較吃力。對於這方面我們還要多加訓練。")
According to Irureta his team lacked “physical condition” but he also
regretted that Deportivo didn’t use one of their chances. “We had about two
or three opportunities in the first half while we wasted three or four moments
to counterattack. But overall we did well”.

Goalkeeper Molina also thinks that “within 15 days Deportivo will be much
better prepared and having the home advantage also gives confidence. The team
played well and we were very serious in defence. But while attacking one could
see that we still miss something. But for this moment we played a good matches
”.
Defender Naybet mentioned that “the result is positive. And now we have a big
chance to reach the Champions League. We had a lot of control over this match
and we achieved a draw, and I think it’s a good result. We should remember
that we haven’t had full preparation yet. If they played harsh? We also do.
It’s a Norwegian team and we all know how they play. But now it will be
important that the people in Riazor support us”.
Amavisca said that “they fight a lot and it’s difficult to stop them. But
now there are 90 minutes to do better in La Coruna. We have a better chance now

better if we had won here, but a draw isn’t a bad result. Personally I felt
a bit tired at the end because I had to run a lot. It’s not the same playing

Finally, Valeron commented that “we leave Trondheim with the feeling that we
got what we wanted despite not scoring a goal. It would have been great if we
had scored a goal, but it was also important to prevent them from scoring
against us. Overall the draw is a good result and we’re satisfied. The next
fifteen days will be vital for us, and in Riazor we could decide it”.
