[歐冠新聞]SOME COMMENTS ON THE ROSENBORG MATCH

After the match Deportivo coach Javier Irureta said to the press: "This is a
very important win because Deportivo will now be playing with the most
prestigious teams in Europe for the 4th consecutive year. And this year we will
be a header in the group, a fact that we will keep in mind".

About the match itself he commented: "We have suffered very much and it was a
match with emotion and tightness. All In all it was a true final". But the
coach pointed to the fact that Deportivo missed many changes to score goals.
“We were superior and had many occasions to secure the victory. But we failed
and had to overcome some difficult minutes at the end. We should have scored
more goals, but I give the team a ten; they did everything they could”.

Man of the match was Albert Luque, and he also had some words to say. “The
match was very important to us and now we will be more easy to start the
Spanish league, knowing that we did a good effort in the preseason". Luque
added that to him the match was very special: "I had the great opportunity to
play from the beginning and I had to take advantage of it and play the best I
could".

Juan Carlos Valeron, who did a great job in midfield, was very happy with the

tough. At the end we took advantage of Luque's goal and then we did some great
work in defence”. Defender Hector, who played one of his best matches at
Deportivo, had some humble words: “The important thing is the work of the
team and with the action we saw in the field I can say that we scored too few
goals. But it seems that by suffering we enjoy things more".

Finally, Deportivo president Lendoiro shows his happiness after reaching the
Champions League. “Again we’re among the best of Europa, and we’re even
placed among the eighth best now. If we would look back at six years ago we
couldn’t have imagined this. But we suffered a lot against Rosenborg. It’s
a great team, and they also deserved to reach the Champions League”.
