MUNITIS AND MUNUA IN, JUANMI OUT
Suddenly out of the sky comes a new signing of Deportivo: Real Madrid winger
Pedro Munitis (28-years old). At a press conference on Thursday night president
Lendoiro of Deportivo surprisingly announced a deal between Real Madrid,
Deportivo and the player himself.
No details were revealed although it looks that Munitis has been given a free
transfer by Real Madrid. He didn’t fit in their plans for the past and next
season and in this way they save the 6 million Euro of salary Munitis would
have earned. The player will have a medical test within 24 hours to finalize
the deal.
Meanwhile, Uruguayan goalkeeper Munua was presented by the president as the
first new signing for the season. Munua comes from Nacional de Montevideo and
will come on loan for the next season. After it Deportivo have the option to
sign him for six seasons.
Lendoiro welcomed the player and also announced a partnership with Nacional. In
this way both clubs will work together in several aspects, including loan outs
of (youth)players and the education of coaches. Lendoiro also added that Juanmi
will leave the club and will sign for Murcia.
Finally, the president confirmed that Ivan Perez and Changui are negotiating
personal terms to play on loan at Nacional this season. Fernando also could be
on his way to Uruguay. About Djorovic and ‘Toro’ Acuna going to Elche he said
that “the conversations are still going on”.
