[新聞]新人到!Pedro Munitis 來了
2003/08/28 http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/
Irureta has his winger for the left side after Pedro Munitis and Deportivo
agreed on a deal last night. Pedro Munitis Alvarez is 28-years old and has
played for Badajoz, Racing de Santander, Real Madrid and on loan at Racing last
season. He made his Spanish debut on 27 March, 1999 against Austria winning
9-0(!) and played his last match against Portugal (1-1) on 13 February 2002. In
total Munitis has played 20 matches for Spain scoring two goals.
Normally Munitis plays at the left wing although he also could be used in the
centre and right wing. This means that Irureta now has Fran, Luque, Amavisca
and Munitis available for the left wing, which probably means that Amavisca
will leave the club.
(不要亂講啦 = =)
Munitis arrived yesterday at the airport of Santiago de Compostela together
with his agent Javier Gonzalez. Moments later Deportivo president Lendoiro
already announced the deal that was made that afternoon by telephone. Munitis
comes on a free transfer from Real Madrid as they didn’t want him there
anymore. Today Munitis will have a medical check and if everything is alright
he’ll be presented later today.
Spanish newspapers claim different numbers related to the contract, as it’s
said he could sign a 1-year deal or a 4-year contract with Deportivo. Javier
Gonzalez commented on this that “I cannot say anything about it because we
still must finalize this discussion”.
Munitis himself didn’t want to comment yet on the transfer although Gonzalez
added: “We have been talking for a while now, and things went fast in the past
hours. And in the end we found a solution. Munitis is very happy to play for
Deportivo and he hopes to have the possibility which he was denied at Madrid.
And Lendoiro always has been after him, every season”. When asked about the
way Real Madrid have treated Munitis, Gonzalez said: “This is something of the
past and we want to forget about it. They defend their interests and we defend
ours”.
President Lendoiro of Deportivo had said during the past days that he could
sign a new player for Deportivo “not being an ace (the highest card in the
game) but a high card”. He added that it concerned it “a young non-Spanish
player but international for his country”. Quickly the name of Brazilian
talent Diego (18-years old) came up, although all remains a mystery. As
Lendoiro always likes to sign star players at the latest moment, like Luque
last season, the supporters will just have to wait some more.
