可是他今天打了再見雙殺... http://0rz.tw/722QU ST. LOUIS -- Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero is starting to figure things out at the Major League level. "Obviously each and every day I'm getting more comfortable at the plate," Montero said. "I feel pretty good. I don't try to do too much every time I play. I just try to do what I know I can do." His manager has taken notice. When the lineup card was posted on Thursday afternoon, Montero was on it for the third consecutive day and hitting in the seventh spot in the order. "It's the first time I've caught three days in a row up here in the big leagues," he said. "I didn't expect it. I always come ready to play, even if I'm not in the lineup." Montero, who will celebrate his 24th birthday on Monday, has played well lately and is slowly driving up his batting average. He was batting .202 on June 19 and is now batting .236. In his last eight games before Thursday night, the left-handed-hitting catcher was hitting .357 (10 hits in 28 at-bats) with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored. "You can see he's kind of getting some of his confidence back," D-backs manager Bob Melvin said. "Typically when you get to the big leagues as a catcher, you've been the guy who has been in charge. With a veteran staff, sometimes it's more difficult to be that guy in charge right away. But you can see him starting to take charge a little bit more. "His at-bats have been a lot better. For a young guy, he's coming along very nicely. Sometimes there is work in progress, learning the big-league level, learning the opponent and so forth. Lately it seems like he's had a lot more confidence behind the plate." On Wednesday night, Montero went 2-for-4 with his sixth home run and 21st and 22nd RBIs. He was 3-for-8 in the first three games in St. Louis. "Chris Snyder does a terrific job back there, too," Melvin said. "Sometimes if you go 0-for-4 and call the right game, that might add up to three or four RBIs. It's just the way the catching position is. It never really shows up. You can't say what the recipe is behind the plate and how many runs you save because of the game you called. Both of these guys have the ability to do it behind the plate. Both have the ability to do it offensively." -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.112.25.133
