Huang pitched at the National Taiwan University of Physical Education and Sport, where he showed an 89-94 mph fastball. His secondary pitches are inconsistent but have their moments, with an 80-83 mph slider that has come on recently and could develop into an average pitch, along with a changeup that flashes average and could tick up. He relies a lot on his slow curveball, though against professional hitters in the United States, that pitch may become more of a get-me-over offering early in the count.
