Brandon Webb ‧ rhp, Diamondbacks Not the most hyped rookie; just the best. 2. Dontrelle Willis ‧ lhp, Marlins Key spark for Florida’s playoff run and one of the best stories of the year. 3. Angel Berroa ‧ ss, Royals After falling on his face in 2002, Berroa made his acquisition from the Athletics look like a good deal again. 4. Scott Podsednik ‧ of, Brewers From waiver wire pickup to Brewers building block in less than a year. 5. Jody Gerut ‧ of, Indians Among all the rookies in Cleveland, Gerut wasn't the one you'd pick to emerge. 6. Mark Teixeira ‧ 1b, Rangers Led all rookies in home runs and gives Texas another building block, if they can only find some arms. 7. Hideki Matsui ‧ of, Yankees Between extremes (New York hype/rookie eligibility debate) you’ll find a solid but not spectacular rookie season. 8. Rocco Baldelli ‧ of, Devil Rays Tailed off in the second half, but played great defense and showed outstanding potential given his experience level. 9. Jerome Williams ‧ rhp, Giants So maybe he’s not Dwight Gooden, but he gave the Giants the solid starterr they needed. 10. Miguel Cabrera ‧ of/3b, Marlins Destroyed the minors in the first half; more than held his own in the majors in the second. 11. Jose Reyes ‧ ss, Mets He looked like everything the Mets were hoping for before going down with an ankle sprain at the end of August. 12. Marlon Byrd ‧ of, Phillies Struggled early but got hot in June and hit .313 after the all-star break. 13. Jose Valverde ‧ rhp, Diamondbacks Closed games when Matt Mantei was injured, and should continue to set up for him next season. 14. Brad Lidge ‧ rhp, Astros His ERA was three runs higher in the second half, but he still held batters to a .202 average for the season. 15. Oscar Villarreal ‧ rhp, Diamondbacks One of three Baby 'Backs on this list, his 86 appearances ranked second in the big leagues. 16. Jason Phillips ‧ 1b/c, Mets He proved capable at first but more significantly should push Mike Piazza there next year as he takes over at catcher. 17. Horacio Ramirez ‧ lhp, Braves With Paul Byrd's injury and Jason Marquis' flop, Ramirez' emergence was essential to the Braves' success. 18. Rafael Soriano ‧ rhp, Mariners While his future role isn't clear yet—he's shown aptitude for starting and relieving—the quality of his stuff is. 19. Francisco Rodriguez ‧ rhp, Angels Nothing could equal last fall's hype, but he still had a .172 opponent average and allowed less than a baserunner an inning. 20. Adam Everett ‧ ss, Astros Showed a strong glove, which was expected, but also held his own at the plate, which was not. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.229.3.230
