[歐錦]Bulgaria lose Petrov for Croatia clash
SOFIA, Oct 2 (Reuters)
VfL Wolfsburg forward Martin Petrov will miss Bulgaria's Euro 2004 qualifier
against Croatia on October 11 after undergoing a toe operation on Thursday.
Petrov will be sidelined from six to eight weeks, the local state news agency
BTA said after breaking a toe on his left foot during his club's 1-0 Bundesliga
defeat by Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
Bulgaria coach Plamen Markov, who had included Petrov when he named his 19-man
squad on Tuesday, said he would not be calling up a replacement for Petrov.
Bulgaria have already booked an automatic place at next year's finals from
Group Eight after their 3-0 away win to Andorra on September 10 which put
them an unassailable four points clear of Croatia and Belgium.
Croatia and Belgium both have 13 points but the runners-up spot will go to
Croatia if they win at home to Bulgaria next week even if Belgium beat Estonia
on the same night since the Croatians have a better head-to-head record
Revised squad:

Dimitar Ivankov (Levski Sofia)
