[友誼賽]Blokhin makes changes for first match
KIEV, Oct 6 (Reuters)
Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin has included midfield pair Dynamo Moscow's
Evgen Lutsenko and Chornomorets Odesa's Konstantin Balabanov in the
squad for Saturday's friendly against Macedonia in what will be his
first match in charge.
CSKA Moscow full back Bogdan Shershun is also in the 23-man squad.
Blokhin, the former Dynamo Kiev striker, took over as Ukraine coach
from fellow ex-Soviet international Leonid Buryak last month following
a string of poor results.
Blokhin also recalled goalkeeper Mykola Medin, his Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
team mate defender Volodymyr Yezersky and Karpaty Lviv midfielder Serhiy
Myzin after a long absence.
Ukraine failed to qualify for the Euro 2004 finals in Portugal by finishing
third in Group Six behind Greece and Spain.
