Juventus used yesterday’s game against Udinese to make fresh enquiries
regarding the availability of Marek Jankulovski.
The Czech ace is highly rated in the Italian game and was recommended
to the Turin giants by international teammate Pavel Nedved.
The 26-year-old left sided midfielder has been linked with the club in
the past and a summer move could be likely.
Transfer guru Luciano Moggi is believed to have met with the Udinese
hierarchy where a fee is understood to have been requested.
The Friuli Bianconeri are willing to release Jankulovski but their
initial asking price is reported to be as high as ￡7m.
That figure is unlikely to be matched by the Italian champions who
are keener on a player plus cash deal.
Jankulovski, who scored a penalty in Sunday’s 4-1 defeat in Turin,
is also of interest to Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Parma and Milan.
