Bruce was not seriously injured in the attack
Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce has been attacked outside
his home.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning
and although not seriously injured, Bruce suffered bruising
around his face.
A spokesman for the club said Bruce was jumped on by two men
after he went outside to investigate his daughter's car alarm
going off.
Blues chairman David Gold said Bruce was 'shaken' but remained
focused on Saturday's game against Bolton.
He added: "We are all absolutely horrified by this act of
senseless violence and the club will support Steve in whatever
way it can to ensure that the culprits are brought to justice.
"I have spoken to Steve who has asked us all to make as little
fuss about this as possible as he continues to focus fully on
the job in hand at Bolton."
A spokesperson for the club said Bruce was keen to stress that
both he and his family were fine and that it would be business
as usual at Reebok Stadium.
