Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min will leave the club this summer with Los
Angeles FC in advanced talks, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.
Son confirmed his exit ahead of Tottenham's friendly against Newcastle in South
Korea, and the 33-year-old has already informed LAFC he wishes to join. GMS unde
rstands LAFC have sent a delegation to South Korea to try and finalise an agreem
ent with Tottenham
Spurs had told Saudi suitors last summer and in April that Son was valued around
€40m, but LAFC are not expected to pay a figure this high. LAFC sources refuse
d to be drawn on whether they will pay an MLS record fee.
There is a strong chance Spurs allow Son to depart to Los Angeles for less, appr
eciating it is the move the South Korea international wants. The nature of how a
deal will be structured remains unclear.
