目前英格蘭的聯賽系統是這樣的（由高級別到低級別排列）：
The FA Premier League（英超）
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Football League Championship（英冠）
The Football League One（英甲）
The Football League Two（英乙）
這三級為The Football League轄下之級別
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nationwide Conference National
Nationwide Conference North/South
從Conference National開始一般通稱為Non-League = Football League之外的聯賽
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Northern Premier League、Southern League、Isthmian League
這三個聯賽的地位皆相同 冠軍皆可升級至Conference League
Northern Premier League分為Premier Division和First Division
Southern League分為Premier Division、Division 1 East/West
Isthmian League分為Premier Division、First Division、和Second Division
